INGLESIDE PTO VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES YEAR ROUND
Help Chair sell items at Ingleside events. This involves setting up displays, working with cash and credit cards, and putting items away after.
Trojans Leaning to Care (TLC)
Volunteers will meet with student TLC members periodically to assist with lending a hand, helping to organize, and gather items needed for community service projects after school. Activities range from writing and sending letters to Troops, making items to donate to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and other projects that give back to the community.
Are you fluent in both English and Spanish? The PTO needs translation assistance to promote communication within the Ingleside Community at PTO meetings and school events.
First Lego League is coming to Ingleside! Do you have software skills? Do you like working directly with students? This club will meet regularly after school with a Teacher facilitator to build and program Lego Robots, work on their presentation skills, and ultimately compete in a First Lego League Tournament!
Assist Chair with weeding, planting , and maintenance on your schedule, and help with Garden Club one day/week after school . Experience not required!
Assist teachers with their photocopying and laminating projects in the Ingleside Copy Room. Once a week, flexible hours.

Back to School Breakfast
Assist Staff Appreciation Chairs with set-up/breakdown in the Staff/Teachers Lounges on the morning of the event. This event is to welcome back Teachers and Staff.
Health Screening Day
Assist with student vision and hearing screenings. Choose your time slots via Sign-Up Genius.
Red Ribbon Week (National Drug Prevention Awareness Week)
During the week of October 23-27, assist Chairs during lunchtime activities.
Ingleside’s most important fundraiser of the year! Join the committee to help brainstorm a theme, location, décor, and fun ways to fundraise!
The Academic Bowl is a highly competitive academic trivia contest between two teams of high achieving students in each grade level. Volunteers will assist the Faculty Advisor and Chair with tryouts and possible “training” leading up to the event which is held in the Ingleside Cafeteria. Volunteer parents of all grade levels needed.
An important fundraiser that has been growing in popularity over the past 3 years! Committee Members needed for publicity, fundraising, and event donations. Volunteers needed pre-event for pre-event registration, and day of event for set-up/breakdown, water stations, setting up mile markers, etc.
Food Truck/Fine Arts Festival
This event showcases the arts at Ingleside, including visual arts and music. Join the committee to help plan, or just volunteer for “day of” pre-event tasks such as setting up art displays inside and outside of the gym.
Mock Trial – 7th Grade
Students are the witnesses, lawyers, judges, and jury in this 7th Grade Ingleside tradition that teaches how the legal system works. Social Studies teachers need volunteers to help students prepare and review materials in class during the days leading up to the trial. No law experience required, help in your own student’s class or in others as often as you can.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Assist Teacher Appreciation Chairs throughout the week with set-up/break-down of various Teacher breakfasts, lunches, snack carts, etc. Use Sign-Up Genius to volunteer every day or when you can!
8th Grade Year End Party (YEP)
6th and 7th grade parent volunteers needed day/evening of to help set up the party, check-in students, chaperone, and break down.
