Ingleside Ambassadors

The Ingleside Ambassadors are student leaders who desire to communicate their school pride with both the public and their fellow students. Ambassadors lead school tours for incoming Ingleside students and students/families who are thinking about attending Ingleside and wanting to learn more about our amazing school. Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to support various Ingleside events and fundraisers, participate in morning announcements, volunteer at neighborhood schools and participate in different community events. This is a great way to make new friends and develop leadership skills.

 

 

Why is this Program Important? 

The Ingleside experience is best told by our students. Through school tours, campus and community events, Ambassadors represent the best in the student body at Ingleside and can showcase all the amazing things Ingleside has to offer. 

 

Who Can Apply?

Any currently enrolled 6th or 7th grade student in Ingleside can apply to be an Ambassador. 

 

Requirements:

  • Students applying must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Student must be in good standing and follow the IMS Code of Conduct
  • Complete Ambassador Application by deadline
  • 2 current Teacher Recommendations from Ingleside Teachers (will be obtained by Sponsors) 
  • Interview with Ambassador Sponsors and School Counselors: May during school hours. 
  • If selected, must be available for TWO MANDATORY training days in May and August
  • Must be committed to the program for the entire school year

Ingleside Athletics

Scottsdale Unified's middle school athletics program is designed to give every student the opportunity to participate, while also providing a pathway for students who want to compete at a higher level. Most team sports (volleyball, baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, and flag football) are divided into two seasons: Tier 1 and Tier 2.

 

Tier 1: All Play

Tier 1 is an inclusive, no-cut program where every registered student participates.

  • No tryouts are required.
  • Students practice for approximately three weeks, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and learning the game.
  • The season concludes with a district-wide Saturday festival where teams from SUSD middle schools play friendly games.
  • There are no grade eligibility requirements during Tier 1.
  • Participation fee: $75.

 

Tier 2: Competitive

  • After the Tier 1 festival, students may choose to try out for Tier 2.
  • Coaches select competitive teams through tryouts (typically 12–15 players per team).
  • Teams compete against other SUSD middle schools throughout the season.
  • Students must maintain academic eligibility ("No Pass, No Play"), including no failing grades and at least a 2.0 GPA.
  • Transportation is provided for away games.
  • Additional participation fee: $40.

What About Cross Country and Track?

Cross Country and Track & Field work a little differently. These sports are not divided into Tier 1 and Tier 2—every registered student participates for the entire season, with no tryouts or cuts.

 

 

Quarter 1: Girls Volleyball and Boys Baseball  

Quarter 2: Girls Softball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Boys Basketball

Quarter 3: Girls Basketball, Flag Football, Cross Country (XC)

Ingleside Student Organizations

Ambassadors

Our ambassadors are the face of IMS. They are part of all the big events on campus. Students in the program give tours to future Trojan families and take on service-related activities on and off campus.


National Junior Honor Society

NJHS is a membership organization created to recognize students who strive towards academic achievement while also developing strong characteristics of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.


No Place For Hate

No Place for Hate® is designed to rally the entire school around the goal of creating a welcoming community, committed to stopping all forms of bias and bullying. No Place For Hate® provides a unique framework to incorporate new and existing programs with one consistent message. It helps schools foster a culture of respect and create a safe, bully-free learning environment for students at all grade levels. NP4H at IMS = building a learning community of inclusivity, respect, equity, and understanding.
